Here are some more maternity pics

Wow, I did not realize it had been so long since I posted. First I will tell you what is going on with the pregnancy. I ended up being on bed rest from August 1st thur Oct 12th which is when Joshua Candler Stell was born. He deffinately kept us all in suspense, Dr H took my stitch out on Monday, Oct 5th, I was 37 weeks. I was sent down to L & D to be monitored, having contractions every 2-6 mins and was 1 cm dialated. They sent me home after an hour. I just knew we would be back that afternoon to have a baby. Doug and I went to eat and all of my contractions stopped. So the rest of the week came and went, I took my self off of bedrest. Thursday I decided to go in and be checked because I was having some pain. I was still ONLY 1 cm dialated, so I thought this baby is going to just stay in and bake. I had a regular checkup on Monday, Oct 12th (38 Weeks). He checked me and asked "Do you want to have a baby today?" I had dialated to 4 cm and did not know it. I called Doug and made my way down to L & D. I know you all will think I am crazy but I had made the decision to go WITHOUT ANY DRUGS from the beginning of this pregnancy. I kept that promise to myself. Once Dr H broke my water my contractions came full strength. Less than hour and after 3 pushes Joshua Candler Stell was born at 11:19. Born at 38 weeks, our baby boy weighed in at 8 lbs and was 20 inches long. I guess me being on bedrest he was just packing on the pounds (as was I). We are doing great, Josh is deffinately a sleeper and a good eater. I am taking advantage of a sleeping newborn and doing some post nesting, you know all of the stuff I could not do while on bedrest. Speaking of things I could not do while on bedrest, I am spending alot much needed time with my first baby. Nathan has been such an amazing big brother, he wants to help feed Josh and hold him. It deffinately takes some adjusting to having a newborn and a 3 year old. But I would not trade one second of it. I thank God for blessing me with two healthy boys and allowing me to be there mom. I hope to have some pics posted of Josh soon, our main computer is out of commision b/c we are redoing our den.

I also wanted to share a few of my maternity pictures made by Kim Sharit. She always out does herself. Please no comments about how big I am. These were made two weeks before Josh was born.

Nathan 3rd birthday fell on a thursday and we celebrated at home. Daddy baked him a cake (with the assistance of Mawmaw). We also gave him his presents from us which was a bicycle, a tractor and a baseball stand. I cant believe my baby is 3 already. I really dont know where the time went and why he has to grow up so FAST. I thank God every night for blessing me and letting me his mommy.

update

Well, not sure why I have not updated since my last doctor appt which was last monday the 29th. Dr Bill gave me one more week in the bed and I go see him again tomorrow the 7th. They are going to do an ultrasound and mearsure my cervix. Hopefully, we will get a good report and I can go back to work and just take it easy. I will update after I know something and I also have pictures to post that Kim Sharit took of our family back in June. They turned out so good and she always makes it so hard to choose. I will also post some random pictures of Nathan. I hope everyone has a good week.
